Meaningful learning in business through serious games

Purpose: The requirements of a business executive include the talent and creativity to solve problems and adapt to continuous changes presented by the economic and social environment. However, the university does not often prepare students in these skills. Businesses simulations are didactic tools in which participants assume a role and make decisions which affect the results of the company. On-line quizzes to evaluate comprehension and integration skills

[EN] This work demonstrates the use of a 2.0 tool, namely, Socrative, to evaluate one of the cross-curricular competences indicated by the Universitat Politècnica de València, specifically, comprehension and integration. It has been applied to the courses in different areas: sciences, engineering and languages. Aquest document vol donar a conèixer l'experiència duta a terme per un grup d'estudiants durant el desenvolupament d'un programa destinat a alumnes innovadors de la Universitat de València. La immersió actual de les tecnologies en tots els àmbits de la societat i en l'educació planteja noves incògnites sobre com es desenvolupen aquestes experiències educatives. El projecte presentat era enfocat als alumnes amb vista a desenvolupar un treball que relacionés les tecnologies de la informació i la comunicació (TIC) amb els contextos d'aprenentatge universitaris. Així, en l'article es presenten les experiències, vivències i conclusions a les quals s'ha arribat quan s'ha acabat el projecte.
